My name is Jillian. I'm a freelance writer, farmer, and locavore born, raised and living in the great state of Vermont. I absolutely love it here.
I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Policy, specializing in Global Studies, from Champlain College in 2015. I love to write about our planet, living locally, and breaking stigmas while presenting different perspectives in an honest tone.
I also work as the sustainability coordinator for the Newport Festivals Foundation, which puts on the famous Newport Folk Festival and the Newport Jazz Festival every summer. I recruit and train volunteers to help fans sort their waste at both festivals, and assist with waste receptacle placement and signage.
